adventures of an american housewife in the south of france

I’m Still Here!

Hello lovely friends!  Just a quick note to let you all know that I'm still here.  We've had a crazy busy month traveling and visiting with friends and I can't wait to tell you all about it.  We spent this weekend doing absolutely n-o-t-h-i-n-g and it was so relaxing and exactly what we needed after this whirlwind of a start to 2012. We'll be hanging here in Montpellier until early February when I am heading back home to Ohio to meet my new nephew, Brighton!  I'm so looking forward to spending time with my family and meeting its newest member (although I wish there was an easier way to get there than 17 hours of travel on 3 planes and a long car ride. )  And if that weren't enough, my in-laws and first adorable nephew are coming to visit us in March!  We had so much fun when my parents came to visit, and we can't wait to show off our new home to Michael's family too. In other news, Figgy has seemingly made a full recovery from his leg injury in Siena.  We've kept him on bed rest for the last month, and taught him to use the little 2-step staircase that Michael built for him, and he's almost back to his usual self.  I took him on a walk to the river last week with our friends and he did just fine, no limping or begging to need be carried home.  Happy pup!

someone needs a haircut.

I'm working on a lot of posts right now so I hope you'll check back soon to enjoy.  Here's a sneak peek of what's to come:
