And we're back! I hope you all had a lovely holiday with friends and family. Michael's office is closed this week, so we've been taking it easy, relaxing and recovering after our 8-day, nearly 2,000 km road trip through Italy. We traveled along the Cote d'Azur to Riomaggiore, up to Firenze, back down to Siena, and then up to Torino, before heading back to Montpellier on Christmas Eve. I can't wait to tell you all about our adventures like the breathtaking views, the crazy driving (
including getting hit by a car while walking down the street), and of course the incredible food. Stay tuned for these
City Guide posts coming next week.

We spend Christmas Eve driving through the Alps, which gave us a little taste of a white Christmas, before arriving back home for a cozy Christmas day of music, Skyping with family, movies and slightly altered version of
Chipotle Chili. (
thanks Mom for sending the Chipotle peppers!) Not bad for our first Christmas abroad.

I don't have to take this down until New Year's, right?

Auguri is an Italian greeting that can be used in a variety of contexts, like Congratulations, well wishes, or Happy Holidays. We heard it often during our week in Italy and loved saying it to feel like one of the locals.
Auguri to you and yours!
Wow. It looks like an amazing trip!
PS. Coming over from E Tells Tales.
Thanks for stopping by, Kelly!
Oh my, can’t wait to hear about the rest of your italy trip!
Get ready for a LOT of food pics!
I cannot wait to hear about the rest! These are such gorgeous pictures – you’re obviously having a fabulous time! I’m so happy that you guys had a great Christmas :)
Thanks, Sarah! I’m really hoping share the rest of the trip next week :)
