The Hub and I have spent a lazy day today watching football, reading and emerging from our turkey and stuffing induced hangover. We had a fantastic Thanksgiving filled with delicious food and wonderful friends. We are truly lucky to have amazing family, not only by blood and marriage, but also here in San Francisco.
For the past few years, The Hub and I have hosted Thanksgiving at our house, but after a noise incident last year (
our celebrations get rowdy!) we decided to switch venues. Matt & Leslie were our gracious hosts this year which was a nice change not only for us, but also for Figaro since our hosts happen to be the parents of his best friend, Zora.

It was a gorgeous, sunny but crisp day in San Francisco and we all chowed down on some delicious appetizers including Nickie's vegetarian brunch ring, Jim & Abby's stuffed mushrooms, and Roy & CJ's show-stopping Turkey Cheeseball.

Leslie prepared a beautiful table that we all filled with:
- 2 kinds of Deep-Fried Turkey (Matt & Leslie's Herb Rub and our Brown Sugar Maple Rub)
- Shoop's Brazilian style Tri-Tip Steak
- The Hub's Cheesy Chive Mashed Potatoes
- Jillian's Sweet Potatoes
- My Bacon-Sausage Stuffing
- Leslie’s Southern Cornbread Dressing
- Tam’s Mac & Cheese
- Mo’s Cranberry Sauce
- Amanda’s Roasted Brussel Sprouts
- Lots of wine
- Apple Pie
- Pecan Pie
- Pumpkin Pie
- My Mini Pumpkin Cheesecakes (recipe coming tomorrow)
