Weekend Update: Green and Gold

What a great weekend for so many reasons! #1 - It was absolutely beautiful.  High-60s and blazingly sunny all weekend, it was a nice reminder of why I love where we live.  It's never too hot or too cold around here and there's just nothing better than a Beach Day in the middle of January.

#2 - Lots of great food!  We had Zushi Puzzle for dinner Friday night with Shawn, Kate and Jason.  Saturday morning we had some errands to run in the Marina, so we checked out Hawaiian themed - The Sandwich Spot - which was surprisingly delicious.  We had a triple decker "Blavacado" with bomb sauce (spicy ranch) and the "Wicked Wahine."  They even gave us a free cookie with an adorable umbrella for being first time customers.

Finally, for dinner Saturday night we tried out Nopalito for the first time with friends Sarah and Mikey.  I will for sure be dining here again and getting the Totopos and Carnitas - yum yum!

#3 - We're going to the Super Bowl!  I don't think I've ever seen The Hub so amped up.  We had our usual crew over for the game and had an afternoon filled with Bloody Marys, beer & sauerkrat boiled brats, deviled eggs, Kate's Chicken Chili and plenty of snacks.

After an intense game, the Packers are headed to Dallas for Super Bowl XLV!  The Hub was like a 7-year old kid on Christmas morning who just got a new puppy and a trip to Disney World.  Just look at his excitement:

The Hub left this morning for another trip to Paris and Montpellier, France.  I will have several French themed posts this week so that I can pretend I'm in Europe with him.  I'm busying myself with lots of girls night dates and caring for poor Figaro who is on bedrest until Saturday (more on that Friday). Hope everyone has a great week!
