Weekend Update: Birthdays and Horses

The Hub and I had a great, relaxing weekend filled with music and great friends!  And horses.  We had 1 show and 3 birthday parties to attend and I'm happy to say that we made it to 3 out of the 4 events!  We also spent a lot of time working on an exciting announcement that I am hoping to share with you all later this week.  For now, you'll just have to stay in suspense, but hopefully these fun weekend photos will hold you over. Sunday was wet and soggy, but that didn't stop us from going to Golden Gate Fields to celebrate Shawn's birthday and Dollar Day at the track.  Man, the horse track sure is an interesting place, but the dollar beers and dollar hot dogs were worth it.  I've been to many a racetrack in my day, but this was my first time to Golden Gate Fields.  It was huge! The Hub had an exciting day, he won $48!  Although he did place $30 in bets.  Still, that's 18 hot dogs. We finished off the weekend with a delicious dinner at La Traviata for Melina's birthday. I just can't get enough of their homemade lasagna. How did you spend your weekend?
