Happy New Year everyone! Looking back on 2010, I can't help but feel truly blessed for what a great year it's been. Michael and I had our share of disappointments, but overall, 2010 was very good to us.
We took our 3 week honeymoon trip to Thailand and celebrated our first wedding anniversary. We did a 3,200 mile road trip through the Midwest, and also traveled to France, Croatia and Germany. Some very dear friends tied the knot and even more got engaged. We spent a week with my entire extended family in the Outer Banks. Our first nephew was born and several other friends brought new people into this world. We went to 8 Phish shows together in 5 different states. We celebrated my Golden birthday with 20 close friends in the Russian River and finally fit in a camping trip to Gualala Point. And last but not least, I took a 7 month hiatus from work and finally started this blog, which had been a goal of mine for a long time.
Yes, we are truly lucky indeed and I can't wait to see what 2011 holds in store for us. We already have 6 weddings on the books and we are continuing to work towards accomplishing the goals of our Life Plan. If you couldn't tell by all the adventures we had this year, I strongly believe in the mantra
"no day but today." Nothing else is promised to you, so make sure to live everyday to the fullest!
On that note, I will leave you with the
Final Bed Beard Picture of 2010. This is an epic Bed Beard and one of my faves, so I hope it brings a laugh for you as we close out the year.
I hope that everyone has a fun night and stays safe. See you next year!

LOL, I love this picture of Fig:) I guess this was a year of beards for both of your favorite men;)
Congratulations on making 2010 an adventure worth remembering! We should all follow your lead and live our lives to the fullest each day. Carpe diem! Happy New Year to you guys!
By the way, you inspired me to start my own ‘Year in Review’ now that Jimi and I are married, our first Christmas was one for the books!
That is fantastic, Karen! And it looks like you guys had a great time on your Vegas honeymoon! :)
