Happy Birthday, Amurrica!

Happy 4th Everyone!  I'm having a bit of America FOMO over here.  No fireworks, no long weekend, no backyard barbecues.  Sigh.  It seems like every 4th of July weekend we're either at a wedding, HSMF or a party.  Always something fun!  To get myself more in the holiday spirit, I took a look at some of my past 4th of July weekends. In 2006, The Hub and I spent the weekend having an amazing time at my first HSMF. In 2007, we had a double whammy 4th of July weekend:  HSMF and a wedding!

In 2008 I flew to Peoria, IL to attend the wedding of a dear family friend. It was the first time I'd spent the 4th with my family in years and it was so fun.

Fourth of July weekend 2009 was only a few short weeks before our wedding...so we let loose a little bit... In 2010 we had a really fun party at our house.

This year I spent the day cleaning up after our crémaillère and in a little bit, The Hub and I are going out for hamburgers and french fries.  Because that's what America would want us to do!  Have a fun, safe 4th everyone!

   Hi sweetie! We as well are celebrating the 4th in another country! I have my red/white/blue outfit for dinner! Gay tried to bring sparklers to Mexico but the TSA said “NOT ALLOWED”. There were actually fireworks Saturday night here that we enjoyed. Enjoy your burgers & fries. We’ll be having chips and salsa!
