Thank God for friends. The Hub and I have been working like dogs this week to try to accomplish all we need to do before the
Garage Sale this weekend and last night Shawn and Kate came over to help us out. Kate made a delicious dinner and the four of us took down our famous "Fillmore Wall." You see, The Fillmore and The Warfield give away free posters at a lot of shows and The Hub and I have been to, well a lot of shows. So we've accumulated a lot of posters. Way more than we could ever fit on this wall. Most of them are stored in tubes or under the bed.

Before
When we moved into our apartment in 2007, Shawn designed this layout and hung all these posters for us (isn't he great?) so it seemed only fitting that he help us take it down. The four of us took down all the posters and prepared them for storage by wrapping them safely in bubble wrap until we one day have another "Fillmore Wall" in our home.

after. wah.

Bubbled up.
The Hub and I have gone through every nook and cranny of our house this week and found tons and tons of things that we've been loading into the garage for the big sale this weekend. The Hub also made some hilarious signs that we can't wait to plaster all over the neighborhood.

clever hub.

so many bags, hats and purses!

this isn't even half of all the picture frames we have for sale

shoes for big footed ladies like me. some of them I've never even worn!

some of the kitchen items for sale
This week we began selling off our furniture which feels great! I'm happy that our belongings are going to new, good homes and selling them means more room in the house for the endless amounts of boxes we're accumulating. We also started shipping some of our belongings over to the office in France so that they'll be waiting for us when we get there. It's hard to pick only a few things to bring with us, but I think we've made good, selective choices so far.
Today is a big day for us! Fig is going to his final grooming appointment, my car is being serviced for our long road trip, the U-haul trailer hitch will be attached, and finally, we are going to AAA to get our International Driving License. Apparently all it takes is 2 passport photos and $15. Sounds easy...maybe too easy. We'll see what kinds of roadblocks we run into.
Wish us luck!
amazing!! sidenote- do i spy the same plastic cups from oxford?
what an exciting time for you!!
i have a similar wall in the “bonus room” of my townhouse but with framed vinyl instead of posters, it’s one of my most favorite places to stare.
I am so proud of you two for taking this journey. You have an amazing adventure ahead!! We will be following along vicariously.
I love the posters and I cannot wait to see all of your goodies for sale! I better bring lots of money:)
Dude. The Lionel Ritchie one is HILARIOUS.
Good luck!! You seemed organized and it is fun for us on this end, reading about your cool adventures!! Much Love, Nat)
Your garage sale posters are hilarious! I am so happy for you and Michael making this life-changing move! Without accepting and embracing change, life becomes redundant and we stop growing. You guys are rock stars.
What size shoe do you wear Natalie, I have big feet!
Size 10 – come check them out! I have some cute ones that have only been worn once and another pair that I never even wore…some may say I have a shopping problem…
