French Bed Beard: Fig’s Diary

Hi Everyone! Are you as happy as I am that it's Friday?  I know I should probably tell you all about how I'm adjusting to my new home.  I should tell you how much I love my terrace and windows and blah, blah, blah.  That is all true, but I have other things on my mind.  You see, I've met someone.

Teti

Her name is Teti and she's young, beautiful and Italian.  Her father is a surgeon and her mother is a professional volleyball player - I've really hit the jackpot!  We met at the courtyard in our old hotel and I'm telling you, she was all over me.  Our parents were talking for a long time, so Teti and I really got to know one another.  Luckily, our parents liked each other too and decided to get together again for dinner.  I was so excited for our first date!  We all went to a little tapas restaurant called Tapaseria in the city center where we were allowed inside! At the restauarant!  It was so cool.  Teti and I sat underneath the table and I watched her eat a stack of brochures and yell at everyone who walked into the restaurant.  She let everyone know who was in charge and I really like that in a girl. Then last week Mom took me over to her new house and we all went to the park.  We took a long walk and I have to say, she's in much better shape than I am.  My leg is still bothering me sometimes so Mom had to pick me up and carry me part of the way which was sooo embarrassing.  But Teti didn't seem to mind.  That's what I like most about her.

isn't she pretty?

While Mom unpacks, I've been spending a lot of time sitting on my favorite part of the new couch, thinking about Teti.  She'll only be here for 5 months and then she will go back to Italy with her family.  I'm going to try to spend as much time as possible with her before she leaves and maybe I can convince her to stay.  Mom told me to just think of it as a "summer romance," but it makes me sad to think about having to say good-bye to her.

sigh.

Je t'aime, Teti!

Woof, woof,

Figaro
